What is composite bonding?
Composite bonding is a cosmetic dental treatment in which tooth-coloured composite resin is sculpted onto your natural teeth to close gaps, repair chips and reshape uneven or worn edges. It’s usually completed in one appointment, often without drilling or injections, and polished to look like natural enamel.
At 1 King’s Dental, every tooth is layered by hand. We match the shade and translucency of your own enamel and finish each tooth to a high polish, so your smile looks like you on your best day, not a uniform white block.
It’s ideal if you’d like a subtle refinement or a bigger change without the cost and commitment of porcelain veneers, and because composite is added rather than enamel taken away, it can usually be adjusted later.

What composite bonding can fix
Pick what you’d like to change, then watch a real case from our clinic.
Gaps between teeth
Composite is added to the sides of your teeth to close small gaps and even out the spacing. Because nothing is drilled away, your natural teeth stay intact, and most gap closures are finished in one visit.
“it’s natural, clean, and exactly what I wanted.”
Chipped or broken edges
A chip is rebuilt in thin layers of composite matched to your shade, then polished so the repair blends into the rest of the tooth. It’s one of the quickest bonding treatments we do.
“The improvement was instant and really boosted my confidence.”
Uneven or worn edges
Edge bonding adds a fine layer along the biting edge to even out lengths, soften jagged lines and rebuild teeth that have worn down over the years.
“Most importantly he really listened to what I wanted and delivered exactly what I was hoping for.”
Stained or discoloured teeth
Where whitening can’t shift a stain, composite can cover it. If you’d like a brighter shade overall, we usually suggest whitening first so your bonding is matched to your new colour.
“I am beyond impressed with my composite bonding!”
Teeth that look crooked
For mildly rotated or forward-tilted teeth, composite can create the look of a straighter smile without braces. If aligners first would give you a better result, we’ll tell you honestly.
“Second to none, composite bonding work done by Dr. Azhar completely blown me away, the results I have not expected!”
A full smile makeover
Composite veneers cover the front of several teeth to change shape, length and shade together. Our limited-time full-arch offer covers your upper or lower teeth for £1,399.

How composite bonding works at 1 King’s Dental
Unhurried, precise and done by hand. Composite is layered over your natural tooth to reshape edges, close gaps or restore symmetry, then polished to mimic the translucency of real enamel.
Consultation
Your dentist checks your teeth, gums and bite, listens to what you’d like to change and confirms whether bonding is right for you, with an exact quote.
Shade and shape
We plan the shape with you and match the shade to your enamel. If you want a brighter colour, we’ll suggest whitening first.
Treatment
Composite is layered, sculpted and polished in a single appointment. Most patients need no injections.
Aftercare
You leave with simple aftercare advice. A polish every six to twelve months keeps it bright; our maintenance visit is £199 per arch.
Often one treatment appointment. Most people go straight back to their day afterwards.
“he explained the whole process and aftercare and was very thorough and patient.”

How much does composite bonding cost in London?
At 1 King’s Dental, composite bonding costs £200 to £250 per tooth. For a limited time, a full arch is £1,399 instead of £2,799, and you can spread the cost with 0% finance over 12 months, subject to status. You’ll get an exact quote and treatment plan at your consultation.
How long does composite bonding last?
Typically 5 to 7 years with good care. Composite can be polished, topped up or repaired rather than replaced, so it’s easy to keep looking fresh. Our maintenance package, a composite polish and hygiene visit, is £199 for one arch.
Does composite bonding hurt?
Most patients find it very comfortable. Because little or no natural tooth is removed, drilling and injections are often not needed, and you can go straight back to your day afterwards.
Does composite bonding damage your teeth?
No. Composite is bonded onto the surface of your tooth, so your natural enamel is usually left intact. That’s the key difference from porcelain veneers, which normally need a thin layer of enamel removed.
Is composite bonding reversible?
In most cases, yes. Because we add to the tooth rather than take enamel away, bonding can usually be removed, adjusted or updated later.
How long does a composite bonding appointment take?
Most composite bonding is completed in a single treatment appointment. Allow roughly 30 to 60 minutes per tooth. Your dentist will tell you exactly how long to book after your consultation.
Will composite bonding look natural?
That’s the aim of every case. We match the shade and translucency of your enamel and layer the composite by hand, so it blends with your own teeth. Bring photos of smiles you love and we’ll show you what’s achievable for you.
Can I whiten my teeth after composite bonding?
Composite doesn’t respond to whitening gel, so it’s best to whiten first. We then match your bonding to your new, brighter shade.
Can composite bonding chip or stain?
It can, just as natural teeth can. Avoiding biting very hard objects, cutting down on staining drinks and coming in for regular polishing keeps it looking its best, and small chips can usually be repaired in one short visit.
Is composite bonding better than veneers?
It depends on your goals. Bonding is quicker, more affordable and usually leaves your enamel untouched, which makes it ideal for chips, gaps and uneven edges. Porcelain veneers last longer and suit bigger changes in colour or shape. Your dentist will help you choose.
Am I suitable for composite bonding?
Bonding suits most adults with healthy teeth and gums who want to improve chips, gaps or uneven edges. If you have decay, gum disease or a significant bite problem, we’ll treat that first or recommend a better option. Your consultation confirms it.
Do you offer finance for composite bonding?
Yes. You can spread the cost over 12 months at 0% APR, subject to status. Ask our team for a personalised breakdown at your consultation.
